Attorney Profiles

Kent A. Gummert has been a partner in the Gaudineer & Comito, L.L.P. law firm since 1999.  Mr. Gummert was born in Grundy Center, Iowa in August, 1966.  Mr. Gummert obtained his undergraduate education from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, graduating in 1990 with a B.S. degree in history with a teaching certificate for grades 8 through 12.  He received his legal education at Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa, completing law school in two and one-half years, receiving his Juris Doctorate in December, 1992.  While attending law school, Mr. Gummert served as student law clerk for the Honorable Ross Walters, Polk County District Court.  Mr. Gummert also worked as a law clerk for the Comito, Capps & Critellli Law Firm while attending law school.  Mr. Gummert became an associate with Comito, Capps & Critelli in January, 1993.  He was admitted to practice law in Iowa in January, 1993; to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Iowa in 1993; and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in 1993.  He is a member of the Iowa Bar and Polk County Bar Associations.  Mr. Gummert has served as a member of various Iowa State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division committees and as Legal Counsel for the Iowa Jaycees.
